President Obama has been credited with being a pioneer when it comes to the Internet and moving it to the mainstream of political life. Grass roots marketing and the use of the Internet by the Obama campaign helped overcome a huge lead by Hillary Clinton early in the nominating race. One aspect, the online presence and site had easy to employ tools allowing those interested in finding out more, helping out, being present – virtually and contributing financially, etc. Making people feel like they were “making a difference” immediately. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Blogs His Explanation

Arthur Rock, Madoff Investor

Arthur Rock, the mythic VC who backed the fledgling Fairchild Semiconductor, Intel and Apple, was also a Madoff investor according to the Madoff customer list made public the other day in bankruptcy court filings. He had five trusts with Madoff, but it’s impossible to tell whether they were with the Ponzi scheme or Bernie’s legit broker-dealer operation.

Salvatore Genovese says Twitter is the dumbest thing ever. Apparently, he’s never seen Microsoft Bob or The Astronaut Farmer. There’s a funny article in Web 2.0 Journal by an SEO consultant from Italy named Salvatore Genovese, who thinks that Twitter is the dumbest thing he’s ever seen. The column appears next to a short piece I wrote about my twittecdotes. Salvatore thinks that Twitter is full of “spammers and crazy people.” Yeah, and your point is?…. The world is full of spammers and crazy people, and Twitter is nothing more than a million-plus-strong flock of humanity.
