Wondering Why…
Life is a balancing act. We need to savor every moment…because another breath is promised to no one. However, we also must remember that momentary pleasures and profits pale in comparison to integrity and depth of character. Those are qualities that take a lifetime to build…nurture…grow. They only take moments to soil. A friend once told me the most useless cliche was to look at someone high-and-mighty getting their comeuppance and say, “Every dog has his day.” He explained the problem is that no one — not even those guilty of transgressions — ever believes that HE is a “dog.” A person will always rationalize why he didn’t deserve to be so persecuted. I’ll bet the farm Tiger is thinking that right now…
